Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Mohali

Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Mohali (IISER Mohali) is a premier autonomous research institution established by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, under the National Institutes of Technology, Science Education and Research (NITSER) Act, 2007. Located in Sector 81, Knowledge City, SAS Nagar (Mohali), Punjab, IISER Mohali is one of the seven IISERs created to integrate high-quality research with undergraduate and postgraduate science education. The institute operates on a unique model where students are exposed to cutting-edge research from the early years of their academic journey. IISER Mohali has developed strong research programs in physical sciences, chemical sciences, biological sciences, mathematics, and interdisciplinary areas, with state-of-the-art laboratories and research facilities. The campus spans approximately 125 acres and includes modern academic blocks, research centers, hostels, and recreational facilities.
